Activate Games Brings Interactive Physical Gaming Experience to Regina with Grand Opening

Activate Games is set to open its first Regina location on August 21, 2024, marking a significant expansion for the entertainment company that combines physical activity with interactive gaming technology. The 12,989 square foot facility at 2550 Quance Street will feature 12 different game rooms offering a full 75-minute gaming experience, including the Mega Grid with over 500 multi-activated tiles, Strike game with beaming bullseyes, and a Laser room simulating modern spy experiences. This expansion represents Activate's growing presence across North America, with the company now operating 40 locations in the United States and Canada and serving over 2.6 million players globally.

The Regina opening includes a special free admission offer from August 21 to August 28, 2024, allowing the local community to experience this innovative entertainment concept firsthand. Adam Schmidt, Founder & CEO of Activate, emphasized that Regina's strong community spirit and enthusiasm for new experiences made it an ideal location for expansion. The company's technology-driven approach includes advanced electronic RFID wristbands that track player progress, accumulate points, advance through levels, and enable prize winning throughout the gaming experience.

Activate's expansion into Regina is part of a broader growth strategy that includes additional Canadian locations in Toronto Stockyards and Coquitlam, BC later this year. The company also plans new United States locations in New York's Roosevelt Field and Detroit, Michigan, along with international expansion to Dubai in Fall 2024 and the United Kingdom in 2025. The Regina facility will operate Sunday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday to Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., accommodating groups of two to five players who are advised to wear activewear and indoor runners.
